Kevin Boddaert

After obtaining my master’s degree in physical therapy, I began training in osteopathy at FICO,osteopathy.academy. Since 2014, I have focused entirely on osteopathy to help people more efficiently. Because of my keen interest in this profession, I continue to continuously study further. I therefore combine working in practice with teaching osteopathy training(www.osteopathy.academy).

An additional motivation I find in the cooperation with my colleagues, both in ‘Osteo Boho’ as well as in ‘Praktijk voor osteopathie Wilrijk’(www.praktijkvoorosteopathie.be). By working together as a strong team, we ensure that we keep the quality of osteopathy as high as possible in our practice.

You can come to me for osteopathy for babies, children and adults.

Martijn Janssens

After earning my master’s degree in Rehabilitation Sciences and Kinesitherapy at the UA, I started training at Osteopathy at FICO osteopathy.academy in 2015, seeking more insights into how the human body works. Gradually I became more and more convinced of the self-healing ability of the body. In practice, I try to work with you to find out how we can improve this ability to take more control of your health.

Via Hands with Heart Foundation since 2021, I have found it challenging to dedicate myself as an osteopath to children with disabilities who have little to no access to health care. I already went with them to Costa Rica, Romania and Bali.

You can come to me for osteopathy for children and adults.

}

Time

A treatment takes about 45 minutes (up to 1 hour max.).

Payment and reimbursement

The cost for the treatment (€65) is charged immediately after the treatment and is payable in cash or via the bancontact app. After payment you will receive a receipt for your health insurance and on the basis of which you receive a refund.

Referral

There is no referral needed from a doctor for treatment. The osteopath is sufficiently trained to, if necessary, immediately refer the patient to a doctor. Good cooperation between both disciplines is considered very important within osteopathy.

What is osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a safe and purely manual method of treatment that considers the body as a whole. The power of osteopathy lies precisely in this holistic view where knowledge of anatomy (body form), embryology (origin of this form), neurology (nervous system), physiology (functioning of metabolism) and pathology is combined.

The osteopath searches for the possible cause of the complaints in an extensive clinical investigation. This is done by testing the mobility of the tissues. The self-regulatory capacity is central in the treatment that follows. We use various manual treatment methods adapted to the needs of the body (for example: soft connective tissue techniques, manipulation- and mobilization techniques,…)
